My journey in theatre began at the age of seven, when I appeared as a wildebeest in my school’s production of The Lion King. After a few years away from the stage, I returned at eleven to play a member of Fagin’s Gang in Oliver! — and soon after, I discovered my real passion: technical theatre.
In Year 8, I stepped into stage management for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and I haven’t looked back since. After moving schools, I quickly became involved in lighting, starting with an after-school design club and then operating for a Nativity. From there, my work grew to larger productions: in Year 9, I helped design and operate lighting for Made in Dagenham, returned to my old school to stage manage Matilda, and just a week later was back at my new school operating lighting for Shrek.
Year 10 brought even more opportunities. I co-designed and ran lighting for Fiddler on the Roof, then returned once again to my old school to run both sound and lighting for their Arts Festival. Most recently, I designed and operated the lighting for the Prep school’s Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies.
Today, I continue to build experience across stage management, lighting, and sound, always looking for new challenges and new productions to bring to life.
